If you cancel a class booking
- Before the creator's cut-off (shown on the class page, typically twelve hours before the start): the class price is refunded; a pass credit goes back on the pass; a free place is released.
- After the cut-off: the place is released for someone else; the payment or credit is kept.
- The booking fee is not refunded when you cancel, before or after the cut-off. It is refunded when the creator cancels the class.
- The cut-off that applies is the one shown when you booked, even if the creator changes their setting later.
If the creator cancels or changes a class
- A cancelled class refunds every paid booking in full, booking fee included, and restores every pass credit, whatever the cut-off. A credit restored to an expired pass is given at least thirty days to be used.
- A change of time or venue is emailed to everyone booked, and the right to cancel before the cut-off stands.
Passes
- Within fourteen days of buying a pass you may cancel it and receive the price back, less the creator's normal per-class price for any classes already taken with it.
- After fourteen days a pass is not refundable, except where the creator or bookacla.ss winds it down, in which case the unused share is refunded pro rata.
- A pass bought as a monthly subscription can be stopped at any time; each pass already paid for is kept. The fourteen-day right applies to the first pass only.
How refunds arrive
Refunds go to the original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within five to ten working days. Where a creator's balance cannot fund a refund, Stripe recovers it from the creator's linked bank account; if a refund is still delayed, support will tell you and keep you informed.
Disputes
If you raise a chargeback with your bank, the booking is cancelled, the place released and the evidence of the booking, the consents and the attendance is provided to the bank. Please contact the creator or support first; almost everything can be put right faster that way.
